DFI High-Computing microATX Motherboard based on Intel C226 Chipset Supports Multiple PCIe Configurations and ECC memory for Industrial Automation

2014/08/27 (UTC-6)

DFI, a leading provider of embedded boards and computers, today introduces an industrial microATX motherboard powered by the 4th generation Intel Xeon processor. The workstation-based DL310-C226 comes with LGA 1150 socket for Intel Xeon processor E3-1200 v3 series built on 22-nanometer process technology; bringing higher computing performance as well as superior graphics capabilities to intelligent systems. With memory playing an increasingly important role in today’s industrial applications, the embedded motherboard is particularly designed with ECC support that provides improved data integrity and system reliability through automatic data correction.

Aimed at machine vision inspection application, the integrated Intel HD Graphics engine supports 20 Graphics Execution Units (EUs), and Intel Clear Video Technology that supports advanced imaging capabilities for high definition video. With 1 HDMI and 1 DVI-I display ports, DL310-C226 enables systems to deliver multiple displays without the need for a discrete graphics card.

The Intel C226 chipset used on the microATX board brings outstanding I/O connectivity, including 2 Intel Gigabit LAN ports, 6 COM ports, 12 USB ports, 6 SATA 3.0 ports with RAID 0/1/5/10, 1 Parallel, 1 LPC connector for additional COM/Parallel ports, and 8-bit Digital I/O connector for device controls. Thanks to its Gigabit LAN port with Intel Active Management Technology (iAMT) 9.0, the board offers a cost saving solution through better manageability and improved security. Meanwhile, 2 PCIe x16 slots (2 x8 signals), 1 PCIe x4 slot, and 1 PCIe slot are available on the workstation platform for additional expansion capabilities in order to meet customers’ various demands.

The workstation-based DL310-C226 with expansive features is a perfect product for a whole range of applications such as industrial control automation, medical equipment, gaming machines, telecom, POS, kiosk, and transportation.
