DFI, a leading provider offering a wide range of products for diversified industry applications, today launches 2 new Mini-ITX industrial motherboards BT160 and BT161. The two models use the Intel® Atom™ processor E3800 product family providing low-power consumption while substantially faster and more capable than other chips available today. This unique equipment delivers excellent graphical capabilities, computing, and media as well as a built-in security engine — all on a sub-10-watt system-on-chip (SoC) making it suitable for a wide range of industrial designs.

 

The Intel® Atom™ SoC features Intel® HD Graphics technology giving you smooth, immersive gaming and vivid visual entertainment, and offering triple the graphics capabilities of previous-generation Intel® Atom™ processors. BT160 and BT161 are also equipped with 2 displays ports: 1 VGA supports up to 2560 x 1600 pixels with 24-bit @ 60 Hz and 1 LVDS supports up to 1920 x 1200 with dual channel.

 

The BT160 and BT161 provide 2 DDR3L SODIMM sockets supporting up to 8GB at 1333/1066MHz for faster communication between components. This two Mini-ITX industrial motherboards powered by Intel® Atom™ processor-based SoC also provide flexible I/O, including 4 USB ports, 2 SATA ports supporting SATA DOM, 4 COM ports, 1 LPC connector for additional COM/Parallel ports, and 8-bit Digital I/O connector for device controls.The expansion design of this 2 Mini-ITX motherboards offer additional capabilities, including 1 PCIe x1, 1 Mini PCIe,

 

1 DFI Propriety Extension Bus for PCIe/PCI expansion and 1 DFI EXC interface for I/O expansion to fit more requirements. In addition, BT160 provides 1 24-pin ATX power connector while the BT161 provides 1 12V DC-in (default) or 1 4-pin ATX (optional) in order to provide additional options to customers.

 

BT160 and BT161, the new Mini-ITX industrial motherboards with expansive features, are the ideal choices for a whole range of applications such as gaming machine, medical equipment, industrial control automation, security & surveillance, smart grid, ATM, and POS.
