The New Wave of Edge AI is Here! DFI Joints with International Partners to Showcase Multi-domain Intelligent Deployment
From Cloud to Edge AI Automation, Smart Parking, & UAV Applications and Demonstrate the Innovative Strength of Edge AI
Taipei, Taiwan - DFI, a global leader in embedded motherboards and industrial computing will showcase the next generation of flexible edge computing systems in COMPUTEX 2025. DFI will introduce a number of product lineups, including: embedded motherboards, systems, and edge servers to address the diverse needs of various verticals in terms of performance, power consumption, and scalability. During the exhibition, DFI highlights their commitment to integrating computing and software capabilities, focusing on smart parking and UAV applications to demonstrate the benefits of edge AI in real-world use cases. Additionally, DFI will collaborate with international AI chip and smart imaging platform providers to showcase AI systems with remote deployment, cross-platform support, and real-time inference capabilities while accelerating the implementation of AI applications and optimizing operational efficiency.
DFI will be a part of BenQ Qisda Group’s COMPUTEX AI WOW booth from May 20 to 23 in the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1, 4F, booth number M0120. DFI will showcase AIoT edge computing platforms, highlighting diverse applications in various industries and promoting cooperation to create a smarter and more sustainable future.
According to the International Energy Agency (IAE), the total global energy related carbon emission in 2024 reached an all-time high of 37.8 Gt and the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will increase by about 3 ppm compared to 2023 which is 50% higher than pre-industrial levels. As AI applications rapidly grow, edge AI which is deployed on local devices can reduce cloud transmissions and cloud emissions; making it a key technology for achieving green AI.
According to a report by IDC, the global corporate spending on Edge Computing will nearly reach USD 261 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13.8%. This trend reflects the enterprises’ demands for efficient computing and highlights the sustainable value of edge AI. With edge AI at its core, DFI helps enterprises optimize energy utilization and maintenance costs while extending equipment life and improving operational efficiency through high-performance, low-power platforms and modular designs, demonstrating their technology-driven carbon reduction capabilities.
Together with Data Image and Wei Long Electronics, DFI launched the IAE Smart Parking Solution which integrates rugged displays, high-efficiency computing, and AI to deliver a truly Innovative, Automated, and Efficient system that offer immediate responses and management effectiveness. For UAV applications, DFI will cooperate with the Qisda drone team to introduce Qualcomm processors and open standard module (OSM) modules to deliver AI computing with a small form factor, high expendability, low latency, and low power consumption. Supporting 5G and Wi-Fi 6, it meets the needs of drone operations in long distances, high altitude, and harsh environments.
DFI has also entered into a strategic partnership with South Korean chip maker – DEEPX and US-based smart imaging platform – Network Optix (Nx) to promote the automated deployment of AI models from cloud development to edge devices. Through graphical operations, users can quickly establish AI processing workflows that support remote deployment and cross-device integration. By combining DEEPX's M.2 low-power AI accelerator with DFI's high-performance industrial-grade systems, the system offers a compact, high-performance, and scalable computing platform. The system’s applications cover a variety of fields such as smart cities, smart surveillance, unmanned inspections, automated management, and retail behavior analysis, demonstrating the core value of edge AI in flexible expansion and sustainable operations.
