DFI® today announces the HD632-H81, a new ATX embedded motherboard in its cost-effective product line based on Intel® H81 Express chipset. This new ATX form factor is powered by the 4th generation Intel® Core™ processors which are the next-generation of multi-core processors built on 22-nanometer process technology with the Intel® H81 Express chipset. These 4th generation Intel® Core™ processors with LGA 1150 socket provide for smooth flash playback and rich 2D/3D graphics with high quality playback enabling a compelling visual experience for intelligent systems that display videos, graphics and interactive content such as digital signs.
The integrated next-generation Intel® HD Graphics engine supports 6 Graphics Execution Units (EUs), and Intel® Clear Video Technology providing advanced imaging capabilities for Blu-Ray and other high definition video. VGA and DVI-D support up to 1920x1200 at 60Hz resolution. Performance is further increased through the introduction of DirectX Video Acceleration (DXVA) to the instruction set, providing acceleration of complex audio, video, and image processing.
This new ATX embedded motherboard comes with 2 DDR3/DDR3L DIMM sockets that support up to 16GB. It also supports 2 Intel® Gigabit LAN controllers with increased transmission speed for network-intensive applications. The Intel® H81 Express chipset used on this scalable desktop platform delivers faster and more efficient power with improved and flexible I/O, including 9 USB ports, 4 SATA ports, 10 COM ports, 1 parallel port and 8-bit Digital I/O connector for device controls. By encrypting data in the USB flash drive (that is installed in the vertical USB port), it protects sensitive data from unauthorized access. The expansion design of this desktop platform also supports 1 PCIe x16 (PCIe 2.0), 1 PCIe x4 (PCIe 2.0) and 5 PCI slots (PCI 2.3) to offer additional expansion capabilities.
