2013/11/05 (UTC-6)

DFI® today announces a new Type 6 COM Express Basic form factor module, CR960-QM77, in its mobile Intel® QM77 product line. This module with BGA 1023 packaging technology supports the 3rd/2nd generation Intel® Core™ processor. These processors are built on Intel’s 22-nanometer process technology and boast a 5~15% CPU performance increase compared with previous generations. This low power module board takes full advantage of the Intel® QM77 Express chipset which is packed with high performance I/O capabilities to provide increased mobile computing and graphics performance.

The Intel® HD Graphics 4000/3000 engine integrated into this Intel® Core™ processor-based platform supports high-end enhanced media and graphics capabilities, besides improving performance. The Intel® Clear Video Technology offers advanced imaging capabilities for Blu-Ray and other high definition video processing such as image stabilization, gamut mapping and frame rate conversion. Targeted at multimedia and medical applications, CR960-QM77 brings enhanced graphics performance by supporting 3 independent displays in any combination of VGA, LVDS and DDI (HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, or SDVO) allowing you to choose the best combination to fit various applications requirements. The CR960-QM77 features 2 DDR3/DDR3L 1066/1333/1600MHz SODIMM that support up to 16GB system memory, 1 Gigabit LAN controller, 12 USB ports, 4 SATA ports, 1 PCIe x16 interface, 7 PCIe x1 interfaces, 4-bit input and 4-bit output GPIO connector, and an optional SSD storage device.

The CR960-QM77, a mobile embedded module board with all these combined features as described above, is an ideal product for many kinds of applications requiring a stable revision-controlled platform, such as gaming, medical equipment, and kiosk embedded applications.
